How Planphos works
Every step is grounded in the knowledge of an experienced lighting designer — translated into an AI pipeline with deterministic validation.
Floor plan analysis
The AI analyses your 2D floor plan (PDF). Rooms, areas, space labels and geometry are automatically identified and extracted.
AI-poweredRoom classification
Each room is assigned a usage type — office, corridor, WC, meeting room. This determines the normative values: illuminance (lx), colour rendering (Ra), glare limitation (UGR).
DIN EN 12464-1Luminaire positioning
Based on the utilance method, Planphos calculates the optimal number and position of luminaires. Spacing and edge zone rules are observed.

Every AI output is verified by code: does the luminaire count match the utilance formula? Are the spacings code-compliant? Are all positions within the room boundaries?
