1. Use of the platform

Planphos is a tool to support the lighting design process. The platform generates automated proposals for the positioning and dimensioning of luminaires based on the uploaded floor plan data and the stored normative values (DIN EN 12464-1, ASR A3.4).

The generated lighting layouts do not constitute a complete professional design. They serve as a starting point and planning aid that must be reviewed, adapted and approved by the responsible planner.

2. No warranty

Planphos provides no warranty for:

• The accuracy of the automatic room classification
• The completeness of the normative values applied
• The suitability of the proposed luminaire types and positions for the specific application
• Compliance with local, regional or project-specific requirements
• Compatibility with the existing electrical installation

3. User responsibility

The user — typically the architect, lighting designer or electrical engineer responsible for the project — bears sole responsibility for:

• Reviewing all automatically generated results
• Assessing the suitability for the specific application
• Compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and laws
• Releasing the plan to the client or principal
• The professional execution of the electrical installation

4. AI-generated results

Planphos uses artificial intelligence for the analysis of floor plans, the classification of rooms and the planning of luminaire positions. AI-generated results may contain errors. Although every AI output is deterministically validated against normative values, this validation does not replace professional review by a qualified planner.

5. Limitation of liability

The liability of Planphos GmbH is — to the extent permitted by law — limited to cases of intent and gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages or loss of profit is excluded.

This limitation of liability does not apply where mandatory statutory liability provisions apply.

6. Standards and norms

Planphos references the versions of the relevant standards current at the time of development (in particular DIN EN 12464-1 and ASR A3.4). Standards are updated regularly. Planphos provides no warranty that the referenced normative values are still current at the time of use.

The user is responsible for verifying the currency and applicability of the standards for the specific project.

7. Applicable law

This disclaimer is governed by German law. Planphos GmbH is incorporated in Germany. The standards referenced (DIN EN 12464-1, ASR A3.4) are German and European standards applicable primarily in Germany.
